Here at Out & About we’ve done our research and found some of Adelaide’s favourite spring activities and the best bit – they’re all wheelchair and scooter friendly! Let nothing stand in your way, let’s get out and about this spring!

Brighton Beach           

Australia has some of the world's most beautiful beaches and with the spring sunshine it is the perfect time to get amongst the salty air! In beautiful South Australia, Brighton Beach is a pristine sandy heaven that is wheelchair accessible and the perfect destination for your Beach Wheelchair. Head on down to the Lifesaver building to find the ramp straight down to the sand.

 

Adelaide Zoo

Adelaide Zoo is in full bloom this spring with flora and fauna at its most beautiful! Spring is the season of fresh flowers and new arrivals to the animal families so it is definitely the best time to check out the zoo. Already, Adelaide Zoo has begun welcoming their newest members, fold up your portable Brio 4 scooter and pop it in the boot to zip about the zoo and check out the new kids on the block - meet Gizmo and the gang here! Adelaide Zoo has everything you could hope for on your day out this spring and best of all it is highly interactive and built to accommodate all abilities. With low-placed interactive touch screens, brand new disabled bathrooms, ramps and handrails installed throughout the zoo Adelaide Zoo is sure to be a sun soaked spring adventure!

Mintaro Maze

If you’re looking for a challenge, why not explore the unique surrounds of the Mintaro Maze in sunny South Australia. Get lost amongst the blooming maze made of living manicured hedges.
